Will Wins The Democratic Primary as a Write-In Candidate!

Thanks to your support, Will wins the Strafford District 5 primary as a write-in on the Democratic ballot! What does this mean for the General election?

Well strictly speaking, it means that he's been nominated twice by voters in Rochester Ward 1. Thanks to the unaffiliated nomination process this summer, Will was able to gather enough signatures to get on the November ballot as an independent candidate. BUT, it remained important to pursue the write-in campaign because:

1) Unfortunately, NH doesn't officially recognize "independent" as a party in this state. If this site is any indication, Will's platform and values closely align with many who had that "D" next to their names, and it wouldn't have done anyone any favors to leave that spot empty on the Democratic ticket, or worse - to see it filled by a wolf in sheep's clothing.

2) Will wanted to make sure that if something went awry in the independent nomination process, there would still be a path forward that made sense AND passed the integrity test.

SO - with immense gratitude, Will plans to accept the Democratic nomination. This means that his name will appear on the General ballot twice. Know this changes nothing in regard to the focus, values, and goals of the campaign - they are the very same as discussed on hundreds of doorsteps during the nomination process.
